£550 raised for Women for Women!

£550 raised for Women for Women!
Our Women for Women dinner fundraiser was a huge success with us raising £275 at the event. This amount will be matched by Natwest which means that we have so far raised a total of £550, enough to sponsor two women in war torn countries through a twelve month education programme provided by Women for Women.

After a few welcome drinks the evening began by us watching a video provided by Women for Women showing the heartbreaking things some women have to endure, how the charity helps and what the money raised will be used for.

Our amazing brand ambassador and British mountaineer Holly Budge then shared with us details of her amazing expeditions including sky diving off Mount Everest and racing semi wild horses across Mongolia. This incredibly motivational talk inspired us to "think big, dream bigger" which is Holly's motto.

Before the event we emailed out recipes from the Women for Women Share cookbook which meant that after the talks we had an incredible feast of amazing dishes from around the world which were provided by our guests. Each guest also donated £10.

We all left the evening incredibly inspired for change and we look forward to being partnered with the two women we are sponsoring and being able to keep in touch with them and see how the money raised is helping to improve their lives.

We would like to thank all our guests, Natwest for generously agreeing to match any funds raised, Holly for coming along and sharing her incredible journey, Rens Cafe for providing us with plates and glasses, East Worthing community centre for providing us with chairs and tables and our intern Andy for the amazing photography.

We will also be continuing to raise money for Women for Women through our Virgin Money giving page. If you would like to read more or contribute please click HERE
