Outdoors Easter ideas for kids

Easter is fast approaching and many of you will be asking for easter ideas for kids. Here at Nature Shop we're passionate about spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors while also supporting charities and local conservation projects

To give you some easter ideas here are four of our top easter activities in West Sussex. All of these activities are so much fun for children and adults and contribute to helping local charities:


National Trust Egg Hunt

The National Trust have joined up with Cadbury to offer the ultimate egg hunt. Crack the clues and discover yummy Cadbury treats!

In West Sussex there are 3 locations you can visit; Petworth park, Woolbeding Countryside and Devil's Dyke

The cost for the egg hunt is £3 (For Petworth an entrance fee also applies) Entry costs fund vital conservation work

Running 30th March-2nd April


Aldingbourne Trust

The Aldingbourne Trust have a range of great outdoor activities from mini golf, woodland walks, bug hunts, kids workshops, play areas and more.

They also have their own farm which is home to alpacas, donkeys, goats, guinea pigs and many more. You can even adopt an animal from £25

Entry is £4.25 (Under 3's free) and all funds go into making a difference to the lives of adults with learning difficulties

Open 10am-5pm (Last entry 3:30pm)


WWT Arundel

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust is a conservation charity that saves wetlands and connects us with nature, beautiful landscapes and wildlife encounters

For Easter they're putting on a giant duck hunt. Follow the trails and find the yellow ducks to win a treat! You'll get to see some amazing wildlife too

Easter Activities: 30th March-15th April

Entry is £11.70 for adults & £6.30 for children (Under 4's free)


Weald & Downland Living Museum

The museum, which covers 50 acres includes historic buildings dating from the 13th and 19th centuries, gardens, gorgeous walks and farm animals

For Easter they have lots of activities such as egg painting, bonnet making, Easter cooking and Easter chocolate trails

Easter Activities: 3rd-13th April

Entry is £15.50 for adults & £6.50 for children (Under 4's free)
